: I love the names semitonisma, semitonic and semitonismic by the way, very intuitive and elegant to me and no real room for confusion that I'm aware of; a very deserved name. I just made redirects for them as I thought it was a shame they didn't already have redirects. --Godtone (talk) 01:26, 5 January 2024 (UTC) | : I love the names semitonisma, semitonic and semitonismic by the way, very intuitive and elegant to me and no real room for confusion that I'm aware of; a very deserved name. :: I have proposed an alternative name for 256/255: "diasemitonisma". I disagree this comma renamed "charisma" (from char, which means an 8-bit byte) for avoiding an extra confusion (already used for a temperament name of 13-limit 3def & 19). "Diasemitonisma" is a contraction of diatonic, semitone and diaschisma into a single word, and also from dia- (diatonic or diaschismic) + semitonisma. --Xenllium (talk) 12:14, 5 January 2024 (UTC) |
