This article is a work-in-progress, proposed rewrite of the following page: TAMNAMS Extension and User:Ganaram inukshuk/TAMNAMS Extension
This page assumes the reader is familiar with TAMNAMS mos names.

This page describes additional temperament-agnostic mos names that fit the style of TAMNAMS but are either unofficial names (eg, names conjured up by other theorists), former names (not including abandoned names), or names given to mosses for the sake of completeness.

Names for mosses with 2 to 5 steps

Names for mosses with 2-5 steps are given names primarily for completeness. These names are designed to be as general as possible so that they can be used for non-octave contexts, with the exception of the names monowood and biwood, for which the mos must either be octave-equivalent or have a tempered-octave equivalence interval.
