Merge with 3-limit

I wonder if this page should be merged with 3-limit? I think it would be sufficient to have "Pythagorean tuning" redirect to "3-limit", but I'd rather hear others' opinions before proceeding, in case a better suggestion comes up. Fredg999 (talk) 14:49, 16 December 2021 (UTC)

Honestly, I think it would be wise to keep the two pages separate if for no other reason than to distinguish 3-prime-limit (which is what Pythagorean tuning is) from 3-odd-limit while using the 3-limit page itself as a disambiguation page. Apart from that, I see no reason not to merge in favor of this page. --Aura (talk) 20:06, 16 December 2021 (UTC)
There is already a separate page for the 3-odd-limit. We might want to facilitate the navigation between pages p-limit and p-odd-limit, but other than that, the distinction is clear in most cases. Fredg999 (talk) 20:56, 16 December 2021 (UTC)
Ah. That makes sense. Still, I think that the merger between the 3-limit and Pythagorean tuning pages needs to be in favor of the latter due to the latter term being much better known outside of Xenharmony. --Aura (talk) 21:58, 16 December 2021 (UTC)

I think we need to add more historical contexts to this article if we are to keep it separate from 3-limit. FloraC (talk) 09:49, 7 January 2024 (UTC)

I would personally go for merging 3-limit into this page and redirecting. Lériendil (talk) 03:10, 26 August 2024 (UTC)
