:::: Okay that's exactly what I did right now: C7 (2093.00Hz) vs. A7+5.87c (3531.94Hz) and C7 vs. A7-15.64c (3488.33Hz). The audible "interval" between both compounds seems to be wider than 21.51 cents but is it? Would we expect to hear the difference tone? --Xenwolf (talk) 22:30, 6 December 2020 (UTC)

::::: Hmm... if it is wider, then that would mean I accidentally made a typo when tweaking the A for the second interval in the file- lowering the A by 15.65 cents instead.  My bad.  My main concern however, is whether or not the fundamental of the 27/16 can be heard at all.  I mean, I'm hearing what sounds like the fundamentals 10th and 11th harmonics... --Aura (talk) 22:53, 6 December 2020 (UTC)

::: Another strange thing I found out is that, according to Wikipedia's article on the subject, apparently not everyone can hear the virtual fundamental. -Aura (talk) 22:05, 6 December 2020 (UTC)

:::: Maybe the effect is to small with only two partials? --Xenwolf (talk) 22:30, 6 December 2020 (UTC)
