8L 1s generates a scale similar to nonatonic Indonesian gamelan scales (i.e. [http://www.neuroscience-of-music.se/pelog_main.htm Pelog] and Slendro plus 4 of the 12 microtonal adjustments from the theories of Sundanese composer-muiscologist-teacher [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raden_Machjar_Angga_Koesoemadinata Raden Machjar Angga Koesoemadinata] or a median between the two) with a generator narrower than 2\17edo, and a largely-unknown scale family with a wider generator.
