Welcome
Hi Flirora, I just want to say hello. You seem to have already MediaWiki knowledge, in case there is some question about xenharmonic wiki specifics, don't hesitate to ask. Have a nice day :) --Xenwolf (talk) 09:28, 10 December 2020 (UTC)
- I'm getting an "Error contacting the Parsoid/RestBase server (HTTP 404)" error whenever I try to push changes from the visual editor. --Flirora (talk) 09:53, 10 December 2020 (UTC)
- Sorry for being quite late. Does the problem persist? Unfortunately have not much experience with the visual editor (I'm quite addicted to "the real stuff" so I stick to the wikitext editor), and as an organizer I was never told about such problems. In the recent changes I see that a couple of edits were made the days before, have a look at the filtered view. Can you explain what exactly you do to reconstruct the issue? Then I'd switch to the visual editor myself and try to understand/help. --Xenwolf (talk) 10:48, 10 December 2020 (UTC)
- Actually, it seems to happen only on some pages, such as User:Flirora/EDO_impressions. I can't even open the visual editor on this page anymore. --Flirora (talk) 13:01, 10 December 2020 (UTC)
- The problem seems to be fixed now (I tested with User:Flirora/EDO impressions). Can you confirm this ? --Xenwolf (talk) 08:09, 15 December 2020 (UTC)
New temperament data
Hello. I've got some honest advice if you're to add new temperament data. We've decided to switch to a better format – the databox, which you might have noticed. For now there's a long way to go, as we'll have to clean them up one by one, but any newly added temperament data are supposed to follow a format that's good enough before the databox is finally implemented. See Mercator family for such an example. To be precise, the preferred wording are Comma list instead of Comma(s) (cuz that gets rid of the plural), and mapping instead of map. And we use templates for wedgie, val list, and each row of the mapping. Finally, in the val list we don't show contorted vals and in general only ets with decreasing error, as they used to be.
