Duplicate pages
Hi MisterShafXen,
I noticed you create pages such as User:MisterShafXen/8edo, which are essentially reduced versions of their equivalent from the main namespace, such as 8edo. I know you say you like to develop your own theory, but if you're going to just duplicate information without any added value, it is likely that the admins will delete the pages without asking upfront. I thought I'd point it out in case you didn't notice, either.
The Xen Wiki is already a mess as it is already, and while user pages don't interfere as much in most viewers' experience, it nonetheless adds noise to the whole. If you want to experiment with templates, or browse the "stats" of various tunings, I suggest you create a userspace sandbox (i.e. User:MisterShafXen/Sandbox) and make use of the "preview" feature, if you use the source editor, to display the page without needing to save it, if you don't need to keep it on the long term (e.g. if it's a tuning system you regularly use to make music). Although the website can probably handle hundreds of additional pages without any technical issue, it's more of a problem for the admins (like me), because that means additional maintenance work, and with already over 20,000 pages, it's difficult to keep everything tidy and it is extremely time-consuming.
If you continue to create numerous pages that admins are going to delete afterwards anyway, you might receive an official warning from admins. The userspace has more freedom than the main namespace, but it's not free-for-all either. Thank you for your consideration. --Fredg999 (talk) 17:52, 1 August 2025 (UTC)
