The cameratasma is a small 13-limit comma. It is tempered out in 41edo among others. It represents the difference between 121/100 (a stack of two 11/10's) and 16/13, or between 121/64 (a stack of two 11/8's) and 25/13.

It factors into simpler commas as (100/99)⋅(144/143).

Etymology

This comma was named by phlub in 2026 after the Florentine Camerata, the arts group that formed in 1573 and essentially invented opera. The oldest surviving opera manuscript is Euridice by Jacopo Peri in 1600.
