RST notation is a notation mainly for just intonation (although it also can work in JI-based regular temperaments) that was devised by CompactStar. It is an extension of 3-limit chain-of-fifths notation where prefixes are added to convey higher-limit commatic alterations. The prefixes used are "ruper-"/"rub-" for the 5-limit formal comma 81/80, "super-"/"sub-" for the 7-limit formal comma 64/63, "tuper-"/"tub-" for the 11-limit formal comma 33/32, etc., going through a rotated version of the alphabet (RSTUVWXYZABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQ). These may be abbreviated as R/r, S/s, T/t, etc. This is a generalization of the usage of super-/sub- for 64/63 which has existing precedent like in "subminor 7th" for 7/4. Diphthongs have the second vowel removed for ease of pronunciation (for example "iuper-"/"iub-" becomes "iper-"/"ib-") and "cuper-"/"cub-" is modified to "chuper-"/"chub-" to reduce ambiguity with K and S. This system reaches up to the 107-limit with the final prefix pair of "quper-"/"qub-" modifying by 108/107.
