: It's surely a subjective matter – I've lately been using color notation and influencing it in significant ways... Partly as a way to participate in something bigger instead of trying (and mostly failing) of spreading a notation of my own. But still... the fact you think it is overrepresented is likely because you don't use it. I do, and it feels well represented. While I like the more concise phrasing in your version of the intro, you have changed the meaning there. Where the original version reads "new JI interpretations not in the original subgroup", your version reads "new JI interpretations for the new primes". Yours is incorrect as extensions don't necessarily involve new primes.

So my two cents: don't touch a topic until you fully understand it; don't try changing the wording and phrasing in an article unless there's a problem.
