I see that there are listings of no-five mappings, no-five POTE generators, and no-five EDOs that relate to quartismic temperaments... What about listings for EDOs and temperaments in the quartismic family that do make use of the 5-limit? --Aura (talk) 04:46, 8 September 2020 (UTC)

Okay, I'm sorry about deleting so much data, and making such a mess, but after finding this site, I'm trying to improve the definition of the base quartismic temperament, and I'm trying to make space for us to better define the temperaments that belong to the quartismic family. Second-guessing myself about stuff hasn't helped matters. --Aura (talk) 02:58, 11 September 2020 (UTC)

Afaik the full 11-limit family is of rank 4 and should be a separate page. The 2.3.7.11 temperament is of rank 3 and belongs here. cf. Valinorismic temperaments. For rank-3 full 11-limit children you add an additional comma and they also belong here.
@TallKite maybe you give a guide? FloraC (talk) 03:14, 11 September 2020 (UTC)
Hi, glad to help. Yes, the full 2.3.5.7.11 temperament is rank-4. The no-fives 2.3.7.11 temperament is rank-3. The rank is always the number of primes minus the number of linearly independent (i.e. non-redundant) commas.
There's a few missing EDOs from the first paragraph. 21, 25, 43, 45, 46 and 67.
I can't make sense of the scale tree link. The two rank-2 scales don't make much sense to me as Quartismic scales because they both lack a 3/2 or a 4/3. Plus they're rank-2, not rank-3.
BTW the @ sign doesn't work to tag me. Next time post on my user page or ask me on Facebook. --TallKite (talk) 06:40, 12 September 2020 (UTC)
Truth be told, the first paragraph only lists examples, and there are already eight examples listed. Nevertheless, thank you for pointing out that 25, 45, and 67 are also Quartismic EDOs. Oh, and does it make sense to make the full 2.3.5.7.11 temperament the base temperament and to separate the data on the no-fives version into its own subsection? --Aura (talk) 13:55, 12 September 2020 (UTC)
If so, this temperament might make a good example of the base temperament. From there, I suspect that this one might make an example of a good Altierran temperament. Also, I figured I might as well repost these links in the discussion seeing as they were deleted by the previous revision and may yet be useful to us. --Aura (talk) 14:27, 12 September 2020 (UTC)

Okay we need the multivals for the rank-4 parent temperament, and I have no idea how to find them... --Aura (talk) 18:16, 13 September 2020 (UTC)
