Talk:Primodality

I suggest that the concept of a neji, the rational approximation of an EDO, is independent from primodality, the use of prime mode of the harmonic series, and therefore it should be extracted to its own page. But I'm still new to Zheanism so if that's not the case, maybe it should be clarified on this article. --Cmloegcmluin (talk) 23:43, 28 March 2021 (UTC)

I'd consider them a special case of circulating temperament, personally. --Flirora (talk) 00:24, 29 March 2021 (UTC)
Thanks for the comment. I'd never heard that term before, "circulating temperament". It looks like it's a Gene-ism; I can't figure out what the difference is between it and well temperament (Gene himself seems to have originally introduced it as a synonym: https://www.webcitation.org/5xemAJsWE). So I don't see the connection myself between it a quasi-rational equal tuning. Are you suggesting that neji be moved to instead be a subtopic of the circulating temperament, rather than be extracted to its own dedicated page? Are you specifically against extracting it to its own dedicated page for any reason independent of circulating temperament? --Cmloegcmluin (talk) 00:47, 29 March 2021 (UTC)
Now that there're nejis, circulating temperaments can be a broader term than well temperaments. FloraC (talk) 08:51, 29 March 2021 (UTC)
I'll continue the conversation about circulating vs. well temperament on its page: https://en.xen.wiki/w/Talk:Circulating_temperament
Regardless if neji are a special case of any or many other tuning concepts, is there disagreement that a safe and appropriate choice is to extract neji to its own dedicated page, which could be linked to any or all tuning concepts it is related to or a special case of? --Cmloegcmluin (talk) 14:47, 29 March 2021 (UTC)
No disagreement from me. FloraC (talk) 15:29, 29 March 2021 (UTC)
Okay, thanks. Done. --Cmloegcmluin (talk) 19:23, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
