Obikhod vs MOS

I noticed that there is a mix of information about the 8L 3s MOS scale (LLLsLLLsLLs) and the Obikhod scale (LLsLLsLLsLL). Since the patterns differ (not equivalent by rotation), it can easily become confusing throughout the sections. Inthar and I agreed to move the page to the more general "8L 3s (tritave-equivalent)", but if the goal was to elaborate specifically on the Obikhod scale, then I wouldn't mind if the Obikhod scale had its own page. Most importantly, it should be clear that the Obikhod scale is not a MOS; it may be considered as a MODMOS scale though. --Fredg999 (talk) 18:20, 28 July 2021 (UTC)

I just added information about the Obikhod scale (LLsLLsLLsLL) to clarify that the Obikhod scale differs from the MOS by one accidental to the corresponding page in my user space -Moremajorthanmajor (talk) 23:45, 3 October 2023 (UTC)

Todo

The todo box appears to represent Russian obikhod as possibly based on a pitch set spanning a major ninth. This is unintentionally misleading, no accepted theory of the tradition recognizes a pitch set this short as valid.--Moremajorthanmajor (talk) 02:56, 12 March 2024 (UTC)

Move to userspace

Article should be moved to User:Moremajorthanmajor's userspace. Obikhod, as I understand it, should refer to a fourth-repeating LLs pattern which is close to the usual diatonic.

There is already User:Moremajorthanmajor/8L 3s (perfect twelfth-equivalent). "(3/1-equivalent)" is not his style titling. I think it's fine to rewrite it completely. --Dummy index (talk) 14:20, 17 April 2025 (UTC)
Are you going to do it? Stuff like this isn't worth my time. – Sintel🎏 (talk) 18:54, 17 April 2025 (UTC)
Writing, User:Dummy index/draft: 8L 3s (3/1-equivalent). (removed all contents from mmtm. Livenka accordion will be obikhod, i dunno whether obikhod is tritavic, relative cents is useless and confusable, …) --Dummy index (talk) 14:46, 19 April 2025 (UTC)
Very nice. Feel free to merge into main! And yeah, Obikhod is not a tritave system at all. – Sintel🎏 (talk) 15:18, 19 April 2025 (UTC)
Done. Thanks! --Dummy index (talk) 16:04, 19 April 2025 (UTC)
