I don't suppose meaningful distinction can be made between "breed" and "breedsmic". Iow both should be referring to the same 7-limit rank-3 temperament, not this fractional subgroup thing. FloraC (talk) 07:24, 16 January 2023 (UTC)

: There's the distinction of subgroup CTE vs inharmonic CTE for fractional subgroup temperaments. If you happen to know which scheme is used in sintel's calculator feel free to clarify. FloraC (talk) 06:17, 30 May 2023 (UTC)

: By comparing Sintel's calculator and x31eq, I have confirmed Sintel's calculator uses subgroup TE. I assume Sintel's calculator is consistent in using subgroup tuning for both TE and CTE, but I cannot confirm this because x31eq does not show CTE.

::: Alright. That's a good reason to believe it's subgroup CTE. FloraC (talk) 08:19, 30 May 2023 (UTC)
:::: Just want to confirm that the calculator indeed does subgroup TE for both cases. - Sintel (talk)
Baldy -> baldi
This name change would make the temperament's connection to garibaldi more obvious. -- VectorGraphics (talk) 01:40, 2 June 2026 (UTC)
: I personally think it's obvious enough already. "Baldy" is used on many other pages, so the community should decide whether to change before updating it across the wiki. --Overthink (talk) 03:42, 2 June 2026 (UTC)
Organizing fractional-subgroup temperaments
I don't see why it's desirable to group them by the first fractional element in the subgroup basis. Does it not make more sense to group 2.3.7/5 with 2.3.11/7, for example? —FloraC (talk) 15:48, 20 June 2026 (UTC)
: The real question is twofold. Firstly, are there any other pages that use this organisation method? And secondly, are you willing to carefully reorganise the whole page in alignment to your preferred principle? I am in favour of your organisation FWIW as the page looks like a total mess to me so at the very least it'd be an improvement. --Godtone (talk) 16:14, 20 June 2026 (UTC)
