Christopher Temperament

Hi Sam. I attempted to find Christopher on Graham Breed's web app, and it's proving elusive; I had to actually look in the 13&17 specifically to get anything. Even so, while the mapping is spot on, it doesn't seem to actually temper out 99/98 as you specified. Could you verify for me? http://x31eq.com/cgi-bin/rt.cgi?limit=2_9_5_7_11_13&ets=13_17p

A meantone variant with the same mappings that also popped up: http://x31eq.com/cgi-bin/rt.cgi?limit=2_9_5_7_11_13&ets=13_17c

30edo seems to be the union of these two.

I may attempt to find more of these temperaments later. --Kaiveran (talk) 23:03, 13 May 2021 (UTC)

I believe its been long enough for me to write on this wiki again; sorry for being 2 years late!
Its possible that I could have misunderstood what commas it tempered out 3 years back; I wasn't using Breed's website to check if a temperament I found had already been documented, so I was largely figuring out commas on my own. I had listed it as tempering out 99/98 since it gave a >10c approximation of 11/8 after 2 generators and I considered it to be close enough to count as 11/8, which is how the comma is commonly understood (dividing 11/8 in half).
I am happy to hear, however, that I seem to have been at least mostly on the right track with Christopher; I actually hadn't expected for the mappings to be spot-on, so seeing what I did by hand be confirmed by Graham's site makes me feel proud of my 15 y/o self.
You likely have forgotten about my temperaments, but if you've looked for more, I'm interested to see your results!
