On current events

2 months ago today, Lériendil and Colonizor, alongside Vector, were banned from XA. The causes for these bans primarily consisted of allegations of sexual misconduct with minors by Lériendil during the period of 2021-2023; allegations of the same by Vector during 2025; and, most especially, allegations of the subsequent harassment of Iwaju (the user who revealed the evidence of the former) by Colonizor and DotuXil, supposedly in order to prevent Iwaju from sending this evidence to legal authorities, and supposedly occurring at the instruction of Lériendil.

The repercussions were confined, furthermore, neither to this set of users nor to XA itself. Lériendil and Vector were briefly blocked from the Xen Wiki, and the former's sysop privileges remain stripped. Unque and several other users were banned in the aftermath, supposedly for causing disruption on the server. Many of these users were also banned from Xendergarten when they tried to explain their side of the story there.

As a result of all this, four of the affected users - Lériendil, Colonizor, DotuXil, and Unque - have prepared a document to dispute the claims made against them. The primary purpose of this document is to show that essentially every allegation made and mentioned here is false, and to result in the revocation of the punishments for all those affected by these claims.

This document has been sent on Saturday to Inthar, who then forwarded it to the XA moderator team. The moderators have, so far, not responded to this document with any sort of good faith, despite Inthar's own independent investigation having confirmed most of the statements being made.

As a result, the authors of this document believe that a necessary recourse is to submit these statements to the general membership of XA.

As Nick Vuci has made misleading statements concerning the nature of the document, and due to the document's inordinate length, we, the authors, will make the following clarification.

Part IV, a point-for-point refutation of every element of the compilation of the evidence stacked against us, and part VI, an account of the mod team's handling of the situation that poses significant questions that we deem to require thorough explanation from the moderators responsible, together comprise the majority of the document.

We would like to highlight section IV.1, in particular, for succinctly refuting the central thesis of the most impactful claims that have been made, by showing that the threats from Iwaju that we responded to were of an entirely different nature than the mere reporting of supposed crimes to authorities with a power to further these reports.

Parts II, III and V are shorter sections which serve as crucial framing context for the above two, and it is these that primarily deal with our history with Iwaju, as the allegations are all related in some way to that history.

Section VII recapitulates the rest of the document, and includes the requests that have been made of the moderator team and the community at large, which however have been compiled separately.

Me as a member of the xen community

I am Lériendil, aka Leri, Majestaz, or Maj. I have been in the community for a relatively brief time, from July 2024 onward. I got into xen primarily from mathematical interest and worldbuilding (see below); note that I have not yet composed any music - I try to be mindful of this when expressing opinions or judgment. However, seeing the state of the wiki's articles and linking, I took it upon myself to improve the wiki to the status of a proper wiki and of the one-stop resource for microtonality that it has become, regardless of how it started out. WikiProject TempClean is among the initiatives I have started, which has improved the quality of many articles dealing with regular temperaments specifically.

  • interests: worldbuilding, physics, pure math, linguistics, history (especially ancient and classical era stuff, medieval era Asia, pre-Columbian Americas)
  • sacred values: individuality, companionship, emotion, creativity/imagination. at this point, I'm pretty much following a personal philosophical system I worldbuilt myself in order to free myself of social conditioning or internalized expectations of others. sometimes I say that I worship the human imagination. to boil it down though, I'd say I have little regard for objectivity within the physical world as something that is inherently valuable, and fundamentally, pretty much everything operates within a context and is primarily meaningful due to interconnections with others. physical reality, intellectualized reality, perception, and fiction are all valid contexts as long as they stay within their own magisterium, though I do admit that this is probably influenced by my general concept of reality as possessing an entire higher layer of imagination superimposed on it.
