To me this idea seems very far-fetched, of course you can justify a generalization this way, but you also have to see that you don't break every frame. Moving this article?

Do you think it might be a good idea to move this article to "Music of Georgia" to avoid confusion with the Georgian temperament?

Disagree with this. Georgian music should be given precedence over a random temperament. We should probably rename that one (it already has a second name apparently). – Sintel🎏 (talk) 16:39, 10 May 2025 (UTC)

I didn't realize the temperament had another name at the time. I'm inclined to disagree with my past self of two years ago, I probably didn't want to interfere with temperament names too much, but I now think we should avoid temperament names which may be misleading, for example by implying an association with a musical culture that isn't directly connected to the temperament. --Fredg999 (talk) 17:11, 10 May 2025 (UTC)
