Talk:32afdo

Shouldn't the scales be irreducible to qualify as being part of 32 instead something simpler? E.g. Arcade is a subset of 16afdo:

• 20/16
• 21/16
• 24/16
• 28/16
• 32/16

I would consider them to be a part of multiple afdos. In the same way that the Whole Tone Scale is part of 6edo and 12edo, Arcade is a subset of 16afdo and 32afdo.

The main reason I added the scales on this page is just that I like 32afdo, so I decided to flesh out a page that I’m interested in, but these scales could also be added to the page of any other afdo that contains them. --BudjarnLambeth (talk) 19:40, 14 January 2024 (UTC)

Plz note that unlike edos, an afdo is a superset of any smaller afdo and a subset of any larger afdo. Do that and you end up with all the scales copied in all afdos above the smallest one where the scale is available.

The Arcade scale can be given in 12afdo: 14/12-16/12-20/12-21/12-24/12. FloraC (talk) 12:53, 15 January 2024 (UTC)
