This page presents a topic of primarily mathematical interest.

While it is derived from sound mathematical principles, its applications in terms of utility for actual music may be limited, highly contrived, or as yet unknown.

Seesaw is an exotemperament that tempers out 6/5, the classic minor third, setting the perfect fifth (3/2) equal to the classic major third (5/4). This temperament is clearly not meant for melodic or harmonic use, and is far less accurate than more common archetypal exotemperaments like dicot, doing something with such high damage as to eradicate prime 3 or 5 from the system. It can be represented by only 2edo in its patent val.

For technical data see Very low accuracy temperaments #Seesaw.
