2001/2000, the major discoverisma is a 29-limit superparticular comma of about 0.8654 cents. It is the amount by which a stack of 23/20 and 29/25 exceeds 4/3. It is also the amount by which a stack consisting of 6/5, 23/20 and 29/20 exceeds an octave (2/1).
Etymology
The word discoverisma was introduced by Xenllium in 2025. It refers to the spacecraft Discovery, which appears in the film 2001: A Space Odyssey. The name major discoverisma is contrast to the minor discoverisma, 2002/2001, measuring about 0.8650¢, which is the amount by which a stack consisting of 23/22 and 29/28 falls short of 13/12. 2001/2000 is larger than 2002/2001 by a 29-limit unnoticeable comma, 4004001/4004000.
