Assumption of tuning theory

• Why* exactly is tuning theory assumed? This is the problem that Domin was complaining about, that people talk too much about tuning specificities and less about composition theory. I want to make steps towards fixing that by not considering "tuning theory" the default form of theory. -- VectorGraphics (talk) 02:10, 13 May 2025 (UTC)

The theory section should just give a general overview of the structure, which is what it does. If you think the section needs to be less formal then try to improve it instead of giving it a different title.

Sidenote: "composition theory" is not really a thing, better call it "practical approaches" or something. – Sintel🎏 (talk) 11:41, 13 May 2025 (UTC)

Subgroups for the interval table

I just used 2.3.5.11 because of mavila. A single 13-limit column wouldn't be the best, as 16edo is quite small so the table will be cluttered, plus it isn't very accurate. Splitting it into the 7-limit and 13-limit seems like a good idea.--Overthink (talk) 05:33, 25 February 2026 (UTC)
