Peoples' pages and progressreport pages?
I notice how people are adding their own names to this page, and given the nature of my contributions- having named the Quartisma, the Alpharabian comma, the Betarabian comma, the Nexus comma, the Symbiotic comma, the Liganellus comma, and now, the Ainos comma- all within the span of a few months- as well as the fact that I'm currently contributing to SA's work, I'm starting to wonder if I myself should be listed on this page under my real name.  However, I'm not entirely comfortable doing the writing myself as I already have enough ego issues. --Aura (talk) 17:36, 30 December 2020 (UTC)
What is the point of having both this page and the ProgressReport page (http://xenharmonic.wikispaces.com/ProgressReport)?

A few persons already have "progress report" pages with nearly identical spellings as the personal pages here. We better put these together.
I don't have as many credentials as some of the other people here, and in fact, though I've been in band class in both middle school and high school, and had lessons from Tom Lohr in the past, there are a number of ways in which I'm self-taught when it comes to theory, especially in the realm of "Treble-Down Tonality", which I'm starting to introduce to the Xenharmonic community. --Aura (talk) 17:43, 30 December 2020 (UTC)

: I think nothing speaks against adding yourself under you real name (or maybe also under your pseudonym). If you start a page under you real name, please write about yourself in the third person and not as Jim Sansing just did. --Xenwolf (talk) 17:56, 30 December 2020 (UTC)

: PS: please remember that there is the [New topic] function on each discussion (AKA talk) page. --Xenwolf (talk) 17:56, 30 December 2020 (UTC)
This again brings the question up:

Why is the redirect function not available?
Replace list page with category
I think catching slightly different spellings will be a good thing.
I noticed that this list page provides no additional information aside from the names of people in the list in alphabetical order. In that sense, a category would probably be easier to maintain while losing no user-friendliness. The page title "People" could be made to redirect to the category page, such that mobile users could access it easily. It would require adding sort keys to each "person page", and possibly adding everyone to the "People" category on top of the more specific categories (e.g. Composer), but that is probably something that should be done anyway. Any thoughts? --Fredg999 (talk) 20:11, 22 January 2022 (UTC)

: Agree, this list is doing work categories were made to do - Sintel (talk) 21:52, 22 January 2022 (UTC)

In the first place, a lot of people won't want to fill out some form for a "progress report". In the second place, how was anyone to know the page was there at all?

:: I also agree. --Cmloegcmluin (talk) 00:56, 23 January 2022 (UTC)
