::: The Latin numeral terms are derived from ordinals. Given 23 is "vicesimotertial", I'm pretty sure 29 is "vicesimononal", but I'm not sure 29/26 is ''the'' vicesimononal major second. Name
Wouldn't middle major second better fit to 19/17? The name septimal major second isn't already taken. --Xenwolf (talk) 10:08, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
- ... and the other mediant derivative of 19/17, 29/26 could claim the name "middle major second" as well. --Xenwolf (talk) 10:18, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
- Septimal major second is 8/7 (it was me who added this name to the 8/7 page, but it has been on Wikipedia: Septimal whole tone, which referenced Harry Partch's book). FloraC (talk) 10:36, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
- 28/25 may be the hemithird for it's the generator of hemithirds.
