Your worldbuilding project sounds like it is set on a parallel Earth, is that intentional?--Moremajorthanmajor (talk) 03:40, 26 November 2024 (UTC)

EDO tier list

Just curious, why are edos 44 and 45 S tier?--Overthink (talk) 17:25, 26 October 2025 (UTC)

44 is the double of 22, maintaining the original mapping for 22edo's 7-limit while also introducing true neutral thirds and semifourths via prime 13. Additionally, 44 "fixes" 22's rather sharp 9/8 and flat 10/9 by including a dual-prime 3 (at 25 and 26 steps, respectively); this allows 9/8 and 10/9 to be found together at 7 steps, which is marginally better for 9/8 and significantly better for 10/9.

45 is the triple of 15; one of the big things that I liked about it was that it manages to retain its color at such a size, due to maintaining much of 15edo's strange 7-limit mapping, where most popular large EDOs like 41 and 53 use their precision as a means to attain harmonic accuracy. There's almost a sense that 45edo has a certain "integrity" that other EDOs of its size often lack, and that's something that I very deeply respect about it. Unque (talk) 15:46, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
