Are you doing okay?

Hello. I saw your recent video on YouTube and a statement you made at the end of it alarmed me. I'm reaching out to make sure you're okay and see if you need any help. --Cmloegcmluin (talk) 16:24, 1 June 2021 (UTC)

Seconded.
"It's not like people care about the FJS, after all."
Please don't say that. You've made a valuable contribution to the xen community. People on the XA discord like it. In my opinion the FJS is the least memorization-heavy of the JI notation systems I know, including color notation.
If you can tell us how we can help you please don't hesitate to reach out to us on the wiki or the discord. Inthar (talk) 16:40, 1 June 2021 (UTC)
Thirded. I hope you've seen the email I sent. What I don't know if I conveyed clearly in the email is that the FJS is a diamond in the rough. Sometimes people only appreciate your efforts later on. --Aura (talk) 16:46, 1 June 2021 (UTC)
If you want, I'll tell you some of what I have in mind for quartertones. Firstly, 243/242 would be the comma of choice for deriving 11-limit intervals from Pythagorean intervals. 33/32, 11/8, 16/11, and 64/33 would get their own interval classes as would a few more complicated 11-limit intervals. No, 11/8 would not be A4^11 under this system, more like "M4" or "L4", with 16/11 being "m5" or "l5", 33/32 being "U1" and 64/33 would be "u8". Meanwhile, my proposal for neutral intervals builds to some extent off of Flora Canou's own suggestion. It's true that I wouldn't have neutral intervals stick direction to Major and Minor intervals- rather I would still derive the neutral third from the Major and Minor thirds by saying that M3 - U1 = N3, and that m3 + U1 = n3. Half an apotome would then be notated as N3< = n4>, as wide and narrow can be represented by ">" and "<" due to them not being bound to a specific comma. As for modifying Major and Minor thirds in the other direction, M3 + U1 = U3, while m3 - U1 = u3. --Aura (talk) 17:36, 1 June 2021 (UTC)
"All I know is an idea I considered one of my greatest accomplishments, which I put heaps of time and effort into, was completely rejected and went unnoticed."
Ironically, there are a number of elements of your proposal that I actually accept, so I don't reject your idea completely.
"All my creations are dead, and with them, so am I."
To me, your creation has left a legacy for how I go about defining intervals myself, and you yourself are worth more than your work, even if your work gets hated on. Don't let the scorn you get tell you otherwise. --Aura (talk) 17:36, 1 June 2021 (UTC)
