I'm a professional software engineer who dabbles in microtonality.

I've played around in a few EDOs and I'm generally a fan of 31edo (for historical meantone and the 7-limit), 43edo (for its super-smooth extensions for jazz harmony), and 53edo (for its excellent 5-limit and all-around good compromise of size and playability), but in general I find that temperaments add way more complexity than they actually address, so I prefer to stick to Just Intonation for simplicity. I try to do all my analysis in Extended Just Intonation even when I'm working in a temperament.
