Merge?

I feel like George Secor should certainly be mentioned here.

Also, it seems nicer to either expand this page into a brief historical overview, or just merge it into the section Regular_temperament#A_brief_history.

I agree that we should either expand or merge it. I'm leaning toward merging it.

The impression I had gotten from this article is that it listed people who did their major regular temperament/mapping work before the tuning lists (Yahoo Groups). That's why, in the brief history you refer to (which I wrote), I used the word "pioneers" to distinguish them from the people in the next paragraph. So if George were to be included, I would include him along with Dave, Graham, Paul, etc., not among the "pioneers". And while I'm deeply involved in Sagittal notation, and so I would say that I'm a George fan more than the average person, I'm not convinced that it's the right thing to do to include him in that very short list. Paul, Dave, and Graham have all gotten back to me already and agree that George doesn't really go in this list. I recalled somewhere on the Yahoo archives there's a thread where these three and others are excited to have made contact with the legendary George Secor. George perhaps goes vaguely somewhere in between the two camps, or perhaps grouped with Erv Wilson.

Looking back at the revision history of the Wiki’s main page, it doesn’t look like it ever had a “history” section during January 2022 when that talk post was made. I wonder what they were referring to by “main page’s history section”, maybe the “main page” of some specific topic, like “regular temperament”?
