What's this?

As a piece of work I only see one track. I'm not sure why several scales are added in this page and what's common among them. Same question with the Blackened Skies page. FloraC (talk) 09:42, 9 March 2024 (UTC)

I plan to make more works using these scales in future. All of the scales on this page were created by starting with the original lost spirit scale from 31edo, then approximating it as close as possible in some other tuning, and then tweaking the scale degrees up and down and testing by ear in Scale Workshop to get it sounding just right. So the scales are united by a common origin, you could say. Or you could say the 31edo version is the true scale and all the others are approximations (I can edit the page to reflect this if you like.

All the same is also true of blackened skies except that in that case, the original scale was the 72edo one, and all the others are approximations of that. --BudjarnLambeth (talk) 09:55, 9 March 2024 (UTC)

I see. Thanks for clarifying and the latest edits. I think it's even more helpful if you show the JI ratios that these are approximating, if you have them in mind. FloraC (talk) 10:42, 9 March 2024 (UTC)
