"Degree" vs. "Degree of 17edo"
The table in section 17edo neutral scale #Interval chain starts with the headers "Degree" and "Degree of 17edo". The second is quite clear (multiply the "#Gens up" value by 5 and take the rest modulo 17). But what does "Degree" mean? Please add some clarification for it! Thanks in advance 🙂 --Xenwolf (talk) 10:41, 10 July 2020 (UTC)
Changed second column to "Steps of 17edo". (degree means 1 = tonic) IlL (talk) 11:52, 10 July 2020 (UTC)
- Sorry, I still don't understand (there is no 1 in this column, only numbers from 2 to 11, what do you mean by tonic). I feel even more confused after the change. Do you maybe mean a kind of diatonic steps? In the wiki degree is in broad use for edo steps, exactly that what you now name "Steps o 17edo". Why should we switch the terminology here? --Xenwolf (talk) 12:13, 10 July 2020 (UTC)
