quadcowa 6th
(Shannon, [math]\displaystyle{ \sqrt{nd} }[/math])
27/1, the 27th harmonic, is the harmonic past 26/1 and before 28/1. It is about four octaves and nine semitones in size. Used in harmony, it sounds particularly wide: if the base note is F1, the higher note will be about D6. That is for all practical purposes beyond the range of choral music. However, it remains useful in some instrumental solos and ensembles. It can be approached as a stack of three 3/1's, making chords like 1−3−9−27.
