7425/7424, the small grapevine comma is a 29-limit superparticular comma of about 0.23 cents. It forms the difference between two 16/15s and 33/29. By tempering it out is defined the small grapevine temperament, which enables the small grapevine chords.

Etymology

The name small grapevine is contrast to the large grapevine, 4901/4900, measuring about 0.35¢, which is the difference between two 14/13s and 29/25. 7425/7424 is smaller than 4901/4900 by a 29-limit unnoticeable comma, 9096256/9095625 = [6 -3 -4 -2 -1 2 0 0 0 2. Large grapevine for 4901/4900 and small grapevine for 7425/7424 were given by Xenllium in 2023, for their semiparticular properties (4901/4900 = S26/S28 and 7425/7424 = S30/S32). In Xenllium's naming proposal, the suffix -vine stands for vicesimononal (29-limit).
