Bold font

I doubt the usability of setting portions of text in bold font without an obvious reason. Such a portion may look important to the author now. But will it be as important later or for readers. Especially the why will not be obvious then. --Xenwolf (talk) 15:44, 7 October 2020 (UTC)

Well, to be fair, I'd prefer to use bold text only when introducing new names, terms and ratios related to the topic... and yes, I've actually seen the term "neutral temperament" used to refer to temperaments that temper out the rastma. In fact, I saw that on the SHEFKHED interval names page... --Aura (talk) 15:48, 7 October 2020 (UTC)
I'm not the one to decide this for a whole wiki (since a wiki is people) but I'd say an emphasis by setting such terms into ''italic'' could suffice as well (maybe a link in the given case). I would prefer that we use typographical resources sparingly so that the flow of reading is maximized. --Xenwolf (talk) 16:13, 7 October 2020 (UTC)
Truth be told, I have never seen italics used for introducing new terms and stuff like that, even on Wikipedia, rather, it has always been bold text. Italics see usage with other forms of emphasis. --Aura (talk) 16:17, 7 October 2020 (UTC)
