2024/2023, the insincere comma is a 23-limit superparticular comma of about 0.8556 cents. It is the amount by which a stack consisting of 14/11 and 17/16 falls short of 23/17. By tempering it out is defined the insincere temperament, which enables the insincere chords.

Etymology

The word insincere for this comma was introduced by Xenllium in 2023, for the following reasons - the size of this comma is almost a half of the fidesma, 2025/2023, whose name comes from Latin words fidēs (meaning "chord") and fīdēs (meaning "you will rely on"). It seems "insincere" to divide the fidesma in two rational intervals 2024/2023 and 2025/2024, almost equal sizes each other but slightly differ by 4096576/4096575 (~0.000423¢, sabitwethosulo-arugugu unison).
