I'd rather not create awkward separations between microtonal theory and standard music theory when they aren't necessary. In my experience, I have seen no ambiguity introduced by calling microtonal inflections "accidentals". IMO if the pages on interval regions are merged with diatonic categories, this should be merged with the main page on nominals and accidentals. -- VectorGraphics (talk) 09:23, 16 July 2025 (UTC)

I shared some opinions about the vocabulary on Discord, but I think the merge is justified no matter how the rest is treated. I will go ahead with the merge and tweak some bits to avoid assertions that makes things sound established when they aren't that much established. --Fredg999 (talk) 03:47, 17 July 2025 (UTC)
