Etymology
The word discoverisma was introduced by Xenllium in 2025. It refers to the spacecraft Discovery, which appears in the film 2001: A Space Odyssey. The name minor discoverisma is contrast to the major discoverisma, 2001/2000, measuring about 0.8654¢, which is the amount by which a stack consisting of 6/5, 23/20 and 29/20 exceeds an octave (2/1). 2002/2001 is smaller than 2001/2000 by a 29-limit unnoticeable comma, 4004001/4004000.
