1496/1495, the turkisma is a 23-limit superparticular comma of about 1.16 cents. It is the amount by which a stack consisting of 13/11, 20/17 and 23/16 falls short of an octave. By tempering it out is defined the turkismic temperament, which enables the turkismic chords.
Etymology
