125/121, the jug comma is a 11-limit (also 5.11 subgroup) medium comma of about 56.3 cents. It is the difference between 5/4 and a stack of 2 11/10s or 25/22s.
Etymology
The name for this comma was coined in 2024 by CompactStar, based on the name of juggernaut temperament.
Temperaments
Tempering out this comma in the 2.5.11 subgroup results in the jug temperament, generated by a meantone-like major second of 11/10~25/22, and in the no-twos-or-threes 5.7.11 subgroup it results in the nonoctave juggernaut temperament, with a period that is the square root of 5 (representing 11/5~25/11) and a generator of ~7/5.
