A triad is a chord of three pitch classes.
Some examples of Theese triads are: Major triads (they sound happy!), Minor triads (they sound sad...), Diminished triads (they sound odd..?), And augmented triads (they sound spooky!). There are also microtonal triads like Neutral triads, or Super Major Triads.
