Etymology
The word semisixthma was introduced by Xenllium in 2024. It is a contraction of semisixths comma into a single word. Both 13/10 and 22/17 are interseptimal semisixth intervals, stacking two of which give a major sixth interval. The name middle semisixthma is contrast to the large semisixthma, 507/500 (the difference between two 13/10s and one 5/3) and the small semisixthma, 1452/1445 (the difference between two 22/17s and one 5/3), differing by 221/220 (minor naiadma).
