The name was given by [[User:CompactStar|CompactStar]] in analogy to the [[Sirius]], [[Arcturus]], and [[Canopus]] star names used for other tritave-repeating temperaments. It tempers out the comma 14641/14625, the amount by which 3 11/5's exceed 117/11. It possesses MOS scales of the families [[4L 3s (tritave-equivalent)|4L 3s<3/1>]], 7L 4s<3/1>, and 7L 11s<3/1>.
