I am reconsidering terms like "Anamark tuning system" and "Scala tuning system" because of the risk of confusion with terms like "12edo tuning system" which fall in a very different category of things. Instead, I am moving toward the form "Anamark tuning file system" and the term "tuning file system" in general. Again I am omitting the word "format" since file formats change with version (e.g. Anamark tuning file system version 1 vs. version 2), the Scala tuning file system uses two files each with its own format, and the "format" is a deeper level of specification than the "system." : I object. I don't see how adding another layer of abstraction on top of the existing file formats is useful. Describing a file format already implies talking about its functional features; you can't really talk about file structure without context. It is entirely possible to describe multiple versions of the same format on a single page, and it would be logical to include the .kbm file format as a section of the page about .scl. [[Wikipedia: WP:Criteria]]'s second principle is "naturalness", and I think using the official terms is the most natural choice we have here. For reference, here are [https://www.mark-henning.de/am_downloads_eng.php#Tuning specifications for the Anamark tuning file format] and [https://www.huygens-fokker.org/scala/scl_format.html specifications for the Scala scale file format], and we might want to keep in mind that the Xen Wiki shouldn't just duplicate what already exists on pages like this. Return to "AnaMark tuning file format" page.
