There are several conceivable ways to map 4edo onto the Lumatone keyboard. However, only two of these are valid mos scales, and that is the 1L 1s and 1L 2s generated by the single step. Since even the 1L 1s mapping has plenty of repeated notes, further expansion seems unnecessary. It is most intuitive to put the large step in the up-right direction and the small step in the down-right one, which means an upward step also moves you up the scale by a half-octave. This gives you a range of more than 21 octaves, which means you can easily split it into several zones playing different instruments and still cover the full range of human hearing.
