1610510/1594323, the fifthchromisma or fifthchrome comma is a no-twos 11-limit comma measuring about 17.5 cents. It is the amount by which a stack of five 11/9s and 40/27 exceeds two octaves.
Temperaments
Tempering out this comma in the 11-limit results in the rank-4 fifthchromismic temperament (→ Catalog of rank-4 temperaments #Fifthchromismic (1610510/1594323)). In the 2.3.5.11 subgroup, tempering it out results in the rank-3 fifthchrome temperament.
Etymology
This comma was named by Xenllium in 2025, on account of the only 11-limit comma tempered out in the rank-4 fifthchroma temperament (77 & 80 & 87 & 94).
