Anacronyms

  • Don't use the plurals; use mos/modmos scales instead.

Not anacronyms, but convenient to type in lowercase (cf. ac/dc)

Not anacronyms, and best to keep uppercase

Debatable

• HEJI or heji
  • Better written as Helmholtz–Ellis notation.

Don't use acronyms

• Equal division
  • But ed-p and n-ed-p.
• Equal temperament
  • But n-et or n equal temperament.
• Regular temperament
  • Best written as temperament, since contemporary temperaments are regular by default;
