Alpharabian tuning
Margo Schulter has informed me of the discussion that's happening on Discord concerning my contributions. For what it's worth, when I was documenting 2.3.11 intervals and coming up with names for them, I was legitimately using the naming system of Alpharabian tuning to get at these intervals, and without access to the concepts of Alpharabian tuning, however incomplete it may be, people won't understand the reasons behind the names of intervals like 297/256. --Aura (talk) 08:59, 2 May 2025 (UTC)
- There are many systematic naming systems. The page should focus on the names people actually use for the interval, not what it may be called by some system. E.g. in the SKULO system 11/8 is called the "uber fourth", but this is not mentioned here, because nobody actually says that.
- So, I reordered the terminology paragraph to be roughly in order of importance/use, and removed "Axirabian paramajor fourth" from the infobox (there's still too many in there).
- Are you ok with how the page is now?
