The pangolin comma (monzo: [-8 0 -4 0 5⟩, ratio: 161051/160000) is an 11-limit (also 2.5.11 subgroup) comma measuring about 11.3 cents. It is the difference between four intervals of 11/10 and 16/11.
Temperaments
This comma is principally notable for being tempered out in the 2.3.5.11 version of porcupine temperament, but if tempered out by itself in the 2.5.11 subgroup produces a structure of considerably more accuracy than porcupine, supported by, among other high-fidelity tuning systems, 140edo.
Etymology
The pangolin comma was named by Lériendil in 2025, on account of its relationship to porcupine.
