Sound examples
There are sound examples for many of these ratios. I think it would be a good idea to just link those sound files directly in the table. On the other hand, I'm not sure where a "sound example" column should be inserted. - I think the problem with the sound examples (at least some of them) is that they tend to be so close to each other that they will be hard to distinguish from each other. --Xenwolf (talk) 23:07, 10 April 2021 (UTC)

This interval is an accidental discovery when I'm messing around with Xenpaper. It sounds really like semitone in 12-edo. I want to call it 12-edo step under just intonation.
It's about 100.8 cents.

- It seems quite complex to me (especially with 317 being prime), and there are many intervals close to 100¢ with a similar level of complexity or less, such as 18/17 (very simple, 1¢ flat), 107/101 (two smaller primes, 0,1¢ flat), etc. In other words, the name "12-edo step under just intonation" could be attributed to many intervals, and I probably wouldn't choose 336/317 if I have to choose one. --Fredg999 (talk) 21:10, 20 July 2026 (UTC)

Yet another 12EDO-esque perfect 5th. I'm not sure if it has more offset than Kirnberger's fifth.
I tested it on Xenpaper and I got approximately 700.0 cents.

Even though it is very 12EDO-esque, it contains a big prime, 1237. I don't think it will be collected into the gallery since 1237's a big prime.

- What's your point? Please use this talk page meaningfully. Explain the issues, propose actionable outcomes, argue with clear points.
- If you just wonder about the criteria of inclusion for the table, the answer is we don't have one. It's something we'd like to work towards in future.
- I'm always trying to find just intervals that is very close to 12-EDO intervals, 13607/10800 is one of them.
- It will be used in my "just-temper mix".

- I suggest you create a user subpage instead of using this page, since a collection of complex near-12edo intervals doesn't fit with the wiki's notability guidelines. --Fredg999 (talk) 15:08, 23 July 2026 (UTC)
