Naiad

Like trienparapyth and seminaiad, this so-called naiad temperament should set 50 & 58 & 87 as the canonical 17-limit extension. I also think one of naiad and seminaiad should have its name changed cuz they are unrelated rank-3 temperaments. —FloraC (talk) 10:06, 8 April 2026 (UTC)

Personally I like "naiad" better than "seminaiad" as a name, so I think we should keep "naiad" and change "seminaiad". --BudjarnLambeth (talk) 03:01, 9 April 2026 (UTC)

One more reason seminaiad should be changed is that 442/441 has been named the seminaiadma (even tho not seminaiadsma and we don't know what 2.3.7.13.17-subgroup {442/441} would be called), which is confusing. Tbh I'm not fond of this obsession with naiadic when all these temps are just equating some interseptimal intervals. The functional generator of naiad for example is a cocytic (this generator is epsilon-enneacot) actually. —FloraC (talk) 16:46, 19 April 2026 (UTC)
