Default type of Badness?
Right now, TE Logflat Badness is still the default, but I see that Meantone and Diaschismic and some other temperament pages have been converted to use Sintel Badness. Is this the plan to eventually convert everything to Sintel Badness? Lucius Chiaraviglio (talk) 22:04, 29 August 2025 (UTC)
- To be clear, both Smith's and Sintel's badnesses are TE logflat badnesses. They only differ by a constant coefficient for a given rank and subgroup, but Sintel's badness shows more readable values and better behavior across ranks and subgroups.
- And yes, we're switching to Sintel's badness following effectively unanimous consensus in the Discord community.
