External image: URL of the image

WARNING: MediaWiki doesn't have very good support for external images.
Furthermore, since external images can break, we recommend that you replace the above with a local copy of the image.

This template controls the appearance of references to external images which are currently not well supported in MediaWiki. The feature is therefore deactivated.

Use it like this:

{{External image| complete URL of image }}

or, in case the URL contains an equal sign (=):

{{External image| URL = complete URL of image }}

This causes a box on the wiki page the automatic addition in Category:IMPORTDEBUG - Change External Images for later access. So after a local copy was uploaded, the image can be embedded easily.
